COLD SHOWER CLUB

This challenge will help you to increase your energy throughout the day.
Getting a fresh shower in the morning is a big NO for most people. Those who do it daily though, all say that it changed their life. They became healthier, because their immune system became robust, they lost weight, increased their willpower, and obtained a higher level of alertness.
My cold shower journey started as I read more and more stories of successful entrepreneurs who started their day at 5am with cold shower. For me this was way out of my league, because I always liked to sleep a little longer, then take a hot shower, drink coffee, and slowly start my day. They were also talking about writing, heavy workouts, mediation, running, and I don't even know what else, before I even checked my phone to see what time it was and if I really needed to wake up. Just the thought of me going into a cold shower was something my body rejected. Whenever I thought of that I got goosebumps all over and my heart rate raised. Really? Why on earth would I do that?
But one day I decided to try it anyway. I was feeling really down because of a situation that had made my life a little bit more difficult. I noticed that whatever I started, I didn't finish, and whatever I somehow finished, it didn't work like I thought it would. There was also this lack of time issue, which made my life very difficult at some times. And that had been happening to me for about 10 years. Maybe more. I always wanted to be successful, like the people you read stories about in magazines, but at the same time I didn't want to commit or change my life.
So when everything got to the point where I'd rather eat 'shit' than change something, a series of people and events came into my life. At one point Wim Hoff (IceMan), Tony Robbins, Tim Ferris, Bayard Winthrop and a few more. They were all very into this and they all said how life-changing their morning shower ritual was.
So I took their advice and decided to try it. What did I have to loose? I'd lost almost everything and even if I didn't succeed, maybe I would walk away a little smarter.
And 'oh boy', I did it (very slowly) and what I experienced brought me tons of energy that I forgot I'd even had. It also brought me clearness and self-confidence that I didn't have at that time.
Just with a cold shower? Yes, I just added 30 seconds of a cold shower during the first week, 1 minute the second week, 3x30 in the third week, and then I started with 30s on the fourth month, do 3x hot/cold 30s change and ended it with cold again.
I suggest you try and commit to this challenge at least once in your life.
